I graduated from Lakeview High School in San Angelo, Texas in 2002. Immediately following graduation I joined the United States Air Force.
I started my college journey at Rose State Community College in Midwest City, Oklahoma. After completing my basics I transfered to West Texas A&M University and graduated with a teaching certification in grades 4-8 English Language Arts/Reading. In 2012 I earned my Masters of Science in School Counseling Degree from Lubbock Christian University.
I started working at Brownfield High School in the 2015-2016 school year. I have had the pleasure of getting to know the students and families here! I am currently responsible for junior and senior counseling needs, which include but are not limited to: Graduation plans, FAFSA, Scholarships, Applying to College, Career placement guidance, NCAA and NAIA information for athletes, crisis counseling, test anxiety coping strategies, State Testing, and much more. I completed my teaching internship at Santo Forte Junior High in Azle, Texas. There I taught 8th grade Reading and was the Pep Squad Coach. My last teaching assingment was at Lorenzo Secondary School, where I taught 7th and 8th grade English as well as high school Reading and Writing courses. I was also given the opporunity to coach the Lorenzo ISD Chess Team.
After 5 years of teaching I moved into School Counseling. I started my first year of counseling at Brownfield High School and have been here since!
I have two young children, Peyton and Dylan, and a rescue dog named Oscar!
